Puskarich Public Library System *Cadiz *Freeport *Scio Volume 31 Issue 02 May, June, July 2022 Summer Reading is six weeks worth of fun to promote learning and literacy skills throughout the summer! Why should your family participate in summer reading? Reading during the summer is a critical part of your child’s education. It helps retain the information they were taught throughout the school year, and is a key factor in whether a child will go into their next school year behind their peers or if they will enter with confidence in reading, new vocabulary, fluency, and motivation to continue learning. Through the positive reinforcement from prizes and fun activities for youth patrons and adults alike, everyone can discover the joy in reading and learning. Our goal by the end of the summer is to help your family discover the “Oceans of Possibilities” out there!
