Art Lessons for Beginners at Clark Branch Library

Classes in basic drawing and painting are being offered by professional landscape and portrait artist and instructor Kim Blair –Mullins every Tuesday and Thursday evening starting at 5:00 p.m. from September  5 to October 5 at the Clark Memorial Branch Library.
Children and adults ranging in ages from 7 and up will focus on drawing and painting techniques such as: shadowing, perspective, figure and portraiture.
The various mediums employed will begin with pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, colored pencils, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and finishing with oil painting.
The range of techniques and mediums will allow new students to explore a multifaceted and fulfilling experience of the satisfying world of artistic expression in many forms. Each class will end with several finished works of art that the new student can claim as his or her own and will be ready to frame.
The classes are $15 for each 2 hour session. There will also be a one time fee of $20 for all art supplies from begging to end of the series. Fees due at first class and payable to the instructor.  The more participants who sign up  will be rewarded with a lower a fee.
